Vision: Long Term
Question:
How can I imagine, anticipate and care deeply about the effects of my
actions on others in the future.
Definition:
Long-term vision is the capability to travel in time, taking an imaginary
"trip" to the future. It is like a day-dream. In this day-dream,
you see highly motivating realities and scenarios of both what you value
and what you want to prevent.
What to do:
- Say to yourself: "I am not limited by my senses in the present.
I can use my imagination to envision the future I desire. I am a visionary
leader."
- Use long-term vision to anticipate and respond to future events.
- Use information from your visions of the future to develop competitive
strategies, cooperative joint ventures and better plans.
- Passionately share your vision of the future with others.
